Current business

Raising of Chicken for eggs and meat to meet the protein needs of consumers. Value addition to locally raised chicken in terms of processing for varied options and convenience to consumers.

Our innovation concept

We’re exploring dehydrators powered by poultry and plant waste from our farm to produce chicken chips. This approach maximizes resource utilization and reduces waste.

What problem / societal challenge is our innovation concept solving from the perspective of our paying customers and end users?

  1. Monotonous Snack Selection: Existing snack choices are dull and repetitive, leaving consumers craving variety.
  2. Uncontrolled Snacking: Unchecked snacking habits often result in excessive consumption, leading to health issues and overeating.
  3. Nutritionally Poor Convenience: Convenient snacks frequently lack nutritional value, forcing consumers to compromise health for quick satisfaction. The use of non-environmentally friendly packaging contributes to plastic waste.

What Research and Development (mandatory) is needed for our innovation?

  • How can we create an effective system to turn poultry and plant waste into a dependable energy source for dehydrators, ensuring consistent and affordable operation?
  • What strategies can be developed to optimize the dehydrator’s process for producing high-quality chicken chips using waste-derived energy, while maintaining efficient production?
  • How can we utilize the dehydrators to introduce alternative production methods that maximize the use of all chicken and poultry parts, reducing waste from the farm and promoting sustainability?

What and how big is the impact of our innovation concept – SDG goals?

  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger increased locally-raised healthy chicken supply
  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being Decreased chicken infection and less antibiotics residue in chicken
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality Increased females trained in our eco-friendly poultry enterprise
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth increased number of workers employed along the poultry value chain
  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production Increased recycle of chicken droppings and other by products

What technical expertise do we need to develop a successful innovation? What are the associated technical research and development questions?

  2. Packaging Engineering and Sustainability:
    • What innovative packaging solutions can we design that enhance user convenience, minimize environmental impact, and keep the dehydrated chicken snacks fresh?

  3. Digital Integration and User Engagement:
    • How can we effectively implement interactive packaging elements like QR codes to provide valuable information andengage consumers in a seamless and user-friendly manner?

What economic and commercial expertise do we need to develop a successful innovation? What are the associated economic and commercial research and development questions?

  1. Market Analysis and Consumer Trends:
    • What are the current snacking trends and consumer preferences, and how can we align our flavors and packaging with these trends?

  2. Distribution and Retail Strategy:
    • What distribution channels and retail partnerships can we leverage to ensure our products reach the target audience effectively?

  3. Consumer Insights and Testing:
    • How can we gather consumer feedback through surveys or focus groups to refine the product, packaging, and overall consumer experience?

  4. Regulatory Compliance and Labeling:
    • What regulatory requirements and labeling standards must we adhere to when developing, packaging, and marketing our snacks?
