Current business

Currently we produce traditional fabrics by using inorganic yarns with only abled persons doing the weaving aspect So persons with disability at the shop only design the fabric but are not able to weave.

Our innovation concept

To produce organic yarns that are not only eco-friendly but also of the highest quality, by tapping into locally available organic materials.

  • Leading the way in making organic yarns using local eco-friendly materials.
  • Creating jobs and boosting the economy by making yarn efficiently, making the community stronger.
  • Making top-quality organic yarns that match world standards, making the region famous for great sustainable textiles.

What problem / societal challenge is our innovation concept solving from the perspective of our paying customers and end users?

  1. Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Textile Production: By locally producing organic yarn from sustainable materials like, hemp, bamboo, and more, the innovation offers environmentally conscious textile production, reducing the reliance on conventional materials that can have harmful impacts on the environment.
  2. Promotion of Local Industries: The local production of organic yarn supports the growth of domestic textile industries, creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic development in the region.
  3. Export Opportunities: Producing high-quality organic yarn and fabrics allows for export to foreign countries, especially other African markets, where there is a growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly textiles.
  4. Environmental Conservation: By using organic materials and sustainable practices, the innovation contributes to preserving natural resources, reducing water consumption, and promoting biodiversity.
  5. Positive Brand Image: Businesses and manufacturers adopting the use of organic yarn and supporting inclusivity through the specialized weaving machine can build a positive brand image associated with environmental responsibility and social impact.

What Research and Development (mandatory) is needed for our innovation?

  1. Organic Yarn Production: How can we optimize the cultivation and processing of organic materials like organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, and others to ensure high-quality and consistent organic yarn production?
  2. Market Research and Export Opportunities: How can we identify potential export markets and develop strategies to meet the quality standards and regulatory requirements of target countries for successful export of organic yarn and fabrics?

What and how big is the impact of our innovation concept – SDG goals?

  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: By promoting local production of organic yarn, the innovation contributes to economic growth and employment opportunities in the textile industry, fostering decent work conditions for individuals.
  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production: Local production of organic yarn from sustainable materials promotes responsible consumption and production practices, reducing the environmental impact of the textile industry.
  • SDG 13: Climate Action: The use of organic materials and sustainable practices in yarn production supports climate action by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting eco-friendly alternatives in the textile sector.
  • SDG 15: Life on Land: The focus on organic materials and sustainable farming practices contributes to preserving biodiversity and promoting responsible land use in agriculture.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals: The innovation concept encourages partnerships between textile industries, local communities, and disability advocacy organizations, fostering collaborations that support sustainable development goals.
